Are you asking if SWE is still needed today?

The answer to this question would be YES!  Even though women have achieved employment parity in law and medicine, they still make up only 11% of the working engineers, but 51% of the population; still far from equality. The US is behind other countries with regard to graduating, employing, and retaining women engineers in management and leadership positions within companies. SWE promotes engineering as a viable career to young women and girls, along with their parents and teachers who still lack knowledge about the engineering profession.
